ARMSTRONG, LOUIS. (1901-71). Foremost American jazz musician.
Signed program from a performance in Brezen, in the former Czechoslovakia, in 1965.
Pictured on the cover with his trumpet to his mouth, he has signed boldly across the second inside page which faces another printed image of the influential musician. The page on which he has signed begins in English, "Hello Satchmo." Armstrong's band was the All Stars. The following musicians have signed near their printed photos: Arvel Shaw, Billy Kyle, Danny Barcelona, and Tyree Glenn have also signed though he is not pictured. The next to last page of the program refers to his famous version of "Hello Dolly," and the last page or inside back cover shows Armstrong playing his trumpet against a background of newspapers clippings. A fine souvenir commemorating this great jazz musician's international fame. Very Good (Item ID: 174)
