FETCHIT, STEPIN’. (1902-85) The stage name for Lincoln Perry, an African-American actor of the early 20th century who appeared in vaudeville, and films. He teamed with the well-known comedian Will Rogers in several films, usually playing a stereotype of a lazy black man.
