BERNSTEIN, ELMER (1922-2004) American composer for film. An Academy Award and two-time Golden Globe award winner. He was famous for composing music for "The Ten Commandments", "The Magnificent Seven", and many other films.

Elmer Bernstein was the brother of Leonard Bernstein, composer and conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and made his mark with his emotional scores for many, many Hollywood films.
