This is a program flyer advertising a concert at which Mascagni will conduct the Czech Philharmonic in an extensive program. His photograph is on one side with attractive art deco border. He appears in a bust length formal portrait, in tuxedo, looking very distinguished, as Maestro. He has signed, "P. Mascagni" with a flourish, next to his head on light background. The other side of the flyer contains the entire advertisement for the concert, describing in depth the program.

This document is The American Federation of Musicians contract between Mingus and Brazilian concert promoter Marco N. Viggiana in which Mingus is engaged for a "Concert tour of South America", performing eight times between August 1-12, 1974 for the sum of $20,000. On verso the band is listed, including Mingus, Dannie Richmond, Don Pullen, George Adams and Hamiet Bluiett. Boldly signed, "Charles Mingus." Staple holes at upper-left, else very good.

This is a full color head shot of Mr. Morricone taken in 2006. His face is shown against a blue background and he is wearing a casual red shirt.  The photograph is interesting because of the beautiful eyes, though he is shown in his characteristic thick glasses, but his eyes are very intense and his hair is gray. The dancer looks very dramatic and his body presents the grace and tremendous athletic ability for which he was known.  The photograph is signed across the bottom in very large script in black pen on mostly dark background, "Rudolph Nureyev". A very attractive piece ready for framing.
NUREYEV, RUDOLPH (1938-93) Russian ballet dancer, soloist with the Kirov Ballet, defected to the West while the Kirov was on tour in Paris in 1961. Nureyev took the ballet world by storm with his flamboyant and dramatic performances. He formed a legendary pairing with the dancer Margot Fonteyn which lasted decades. He was said to be the greatest dancer since Nijinsky.

This  musical notation on music paper consists of  seven bars of music from his composition, "There Is No Death" with the lyric written underneath, "I tell you they have not died. They live and breathe with you. There is no death."  A profound and comforting piece of music,  this fragment of it is signed in full aabove the notes, "Compliments of Geoffrey O'Hara, August 18, 1936."

ORMANDY, EUGENE (1899-1985) American conductor of the Philadephia Orchestra, Ormandy was born in Budapest and emigrated to the United States in 1921. He conducted and co-conducted many orchestras in the United States with the great conductors of the twentieth century, such as Toscannini and Stokowski. He then began his 44-year career as sole conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra, giving it it's reputation for the smooth "Philadelphia sound", and his being the longest conductorship in history.
