(1892-1982) American poet, writer, and the Librarian of Congress. He is associated with the modernist school of poetry and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize three times.

He is smiling broadly off to the side, while standing in front of a microphone. A very appealing pose captured in the famous poet's later years. Inscribed in the upper left corner in black pen, "For....Archibald MacLeish"
