He writes in full, "I would be very glad to become a member of the Honorary Committee of the American Theatre Wing for the presentation of the 'Tonys', and trust that this letter does not arrive too late. I was unable to answer it before now...." He signs in full in a bold hand in pencil, "James Thurber". This is a memorable letter for it's theater association. Three repairs with tape on verso to fold tears, two at left margins, third at the bottom. Some soiling.
