CHAIM GROSS

(1904-91) Austrian-born American printmaker and sculptor.

Limited Edition Serigraph Signed, 446/1000, 4to, on double-blind embossed art stock paper from the World Federation of United Nations Associations, Date of Issue - January 11, 1980.

The print is a brightly colored series of circles on yellow background, going in toward the center. A hand reaches across from each side of the circle as if to meet. In the center of the circle is a representation of a cornucopia spilling fruit from it and above these symbols sits a bird of peace on each side of the inner circle. It is a beautifully colored print with appropriate symbolism for commemorative title, "New International Economic Order." The artist has signed twice, "Chaim Gross" in the lower right corner of the print. Accompanying the print is a United Nations document verifying its authenticity which Gross has also signed.,on December 20, 1979.
