The letter written to an author, for whom Stanton would like to draw some illustrations before the book goes to be published. In the letter he asks to agree with the meeting and discuss all in the details. Signed, “ Blair Hughes Stanton”.

His reputation rests chiefly on the wood engraved illustrations he made for the Gregnyog Press and others in the 1930s. In the late 1930s he produced a set of outstanding large wood engravings which secured him a place in the history of modernist printmaking.
