JOSEF HOFFMANN

(1870-1956) Austrian architect and designer. Associated with the Vienna Secession art movement and a founder of Wiener Werkstäette.

Autograph Note in German, Unsigned on visiting card with envelope.

Under his name he writes, "sends you congratulations! to His Excellency Friedrich Löse Breitegasse Wien." Original German: "sendet Ihnen seine besten Glückwünsche -------------dem Hochwohlgeborenen Friedrich Löse Breitegasse Wien." The envelope is not translated but addressed in Hoffmann's hand, postmark on verso shows Vienna ("Wein 15") year is not readable.
