WALTER LANTZ

(1899 -1994) American cartoonist, animator, film producer, and director, best known for founding Walter Lantz Productions and creating Woody Woodpecker.

Lantz has drawn his cheery wide-eyed woodpecker on an orange colored page, outlined in pen and colored with red marker. The famed cartoonist has signed in full with date, "Walter Lantz 1990." The image measures 4 1/2 x 9 inches showing through mat, and the basic bright black wooden frame is 10 x 14 inches. A white mat highlights the drawings colors. An appealing presentation.
