(1887-1983) American composer, lyricist, and pianist of ragtime, jazz, and popular music. In 1921, Blake and longtime collaborator Noble Sissle wrote the Broadway musical "Shuffle Along," one of the first Broadway musicals to be written and directed by African Americans.

Signed Sheet Music, "The Slave of Love, " from the musical, "The Chocolate Dandies," written by Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake, 1924, signed in older age, 6pp including covers.

Blake signs in full on the cover, "Eubie Blake, " above the composers' names. Nice color contrast. Blake pens his name in black, the composers' names are printed in pink. The first pages of the music, pages three and four, have become detached. Good condition, remnants of small label on verso upper right corner.
