The photograph shows Faraday in older age, half length. Docketed in ink on the lower margin of the photographer's mount in another hand, "Prof. Faraday." Condition: The albumen print has faded, several small ink spots from the docketing.
Faraday established the basis for the concept of electromagnetism; his experiments and inventions led to the development of the electric motor and other practical applications of electricity; also discovered benzene.
