H. and Frieda Lawrence sitting in rockers is annotated, "DHL and Frieda in Mexico City, Posada de las Cruz." The photograph showing Lawrence standing with a horse reads on verso, "D. H. Lawrence at the ranch in San Cristobal [New Mexico]." The small bust portrait photograph has an light annotation in red pencil on verso partially legible, "D. H. Lawrence from Frieda Lawrence." The photographs are circa 1923.
